Personal Information:
Began running in 1997 at age 34, just after the birth of her third son. Completed her first marathon in 1998 (San Francisco) in 3:58. Ran her first sub-3 hour marathon (2:51) at Grandma's in Duluth, Minn., in June 2002 and she is the reigning USA Master Champion, a title she has held for three straight years now. She is also the three time winner of the New York City More Marathon (2005, 2006 and 2007)! She raced in the 2004 (2:44:19) and 2008 (2:42:55) Olympic Trials. She is a Mother of three sons: Michael (22), Taylor (16) and Chris (11). She is the Program Director at Chances for Children-Arizona, an Arizona not-for-profit organization. She coaches children running programs as well as adult marathon/half marathon fundraising programs. The funds that they raise and the awareness that they create through TEAM CHANCES goes a long way toward fulfilling the mission of Chances for Children-Arizona and changing the lives of children in our community through running, fitness and nutrition programs.
